Travel with me into the waters
Bequeath to me your guiltless daughters
My mourning songs laid by wistful thrush
Travel with me into the waters.
Lamenting the foragers and paupers
Along reens submerged in weeping rush
Bequeath to me your guiltless daughters.
My floodgates guide forlorn marauders
Their listless lungs tamed by liquid’s crush
Travel with me into the waters.
And sometimes down I drag their quarters
With my haemic head and limbs so lush
Bequeath to me your guiltless daughters.
Once-sodden eyes becoming altars
When warmth masks my marshes to a hush
Travel with me into the waters.
By Sun and Moon my flowing offers
The true depths of Mother Mountain’s blush
Bequeath to me your guiltless daughters
Travel with me into the waters.
It has been some years, Great Lady Sabrina. I look forward to greeting you again soon.
Oh my Gods this is incredible, I absolutely love the imagery you weave into your poetry. You’re so talented, thank you for making my day better with this, it put a smile on my face for the first time since this morning!

Beautiful! Is Habrena the Brittonic form of Hafren? I love it, the name feels very right to me.

I’m so excited to read this, thank you! I’ll be making a journey to her source in August, but trying to sneak some time to visit the riverside before that!
